Ji So-yun, the star of Korean women's football, was ranked 25th in the world's women's football player selected by ESPN, a sports media.
ESPN selected the top 50 women's football players around the world on the 28th (Korean time). Ji So-yun, who was ranked 18th on ESPN's list of women's footballers last year, has dropped slightly this year. She is but she is the only Asian player outside of Australia to be named in the top 50.
"It was disappointing news for England's women's Super League fans that Ji So-yun left Chelsea to return to her homeland," ESPN said.
Ji So-yun became the first Korean player to advance to the British Women's Super League (WSL) in 2014. At Chelsea, she led the team to six league titles and four FA Cups. She and she this year she returned to Korea and she joined Suwon FC.
